Position Description:  Under the direct supervision of the Education Manager, the Assistive Communications Project Coordinator will oversee a project aimed at enabling San Francisco families to understand and access assistive communication technology for their children with disabilities, with a focus on outreach and services for Spanish speaking families, Cantonese speaking families and those from low-income, underserved communities. The Coordinator will conduct training workshops in English and Spanish for families on the use of the iPad by children with special needs for communication; will oversee workshops in Cantonese; plan and implement all grant activities, including evaluation and reporting; and work with other SFCD Family Resource Center staff on communications technology issues. This project ends December 31, subject to renewal based on funding availability. More Information [pdf]
