The CF is a full-time, 12 month position with a $46,125.00 stipend plus medical and leave benefits.

The Speech Pathology program at the San Francisco VAMC provides diagnostic and rehabilitative services for inpatient, out-patient and the CLC for populations ranging from young adult to geriatric in the areas of dysphagia, cognitive-communicative impairment, aphasia, dysarthria, voice and head and neck cancer. The CF will gain experience performing clinical swallow evaluations, fluoroscopic and endoscopic swallows studies, video stroboscopy, post-laryngectomy voice restoration as well as AAC assessments and telehealth delivery of care for various speech, language, voice and swallowing impairments. He or she will also gain experience with certified LSVT clinicians as the SFVAMC has 1 of the 6 PADRECC Centers in the VHA.
The CF will interact with a variety of specialty services, including Neurology, Neurosurgery, Vascular Surgery, Critical Care, TBI Team, Otolaryngology, OT/PT, N&FS and respiratory therapy.
