We are currently looking for 1 or 2 graduate (or exceptional undergraduate) students in speech-language pathology who are looking for experience with adults who have aphasia. The students help to run a monthly community-based Aphasia Group.  In addition to people with aphasia, our group is also open to adults who have other communication disorders such as Parkinson’s disease.  The aphasia group meets 1 Saturday a month from 10 :00 – 12:00.  Our focus is on enhancing life participation.

Students help group participants by escorting them to the meeting room, serving snacks and modeling communication during the group. The group is located at the ActivSpace building in the Mission District in San Francisco. Group schedule TBA
